Thought I better stop worrying what it looks like and start sorting out the mechanical issues. First step, raise it up to get enough clearance ready to give the engine a wash tomorrow so I can try and work out where the oil leak is coming from.
I spent some time researching common leak areas for the M44 and pricing up various parts. I see that the oil filter housing is the number one spot for leaks.
I also got some quotes for a new windscreen: Obrien wanted nearly $700, NRMA just over $300 with member discount, and a local windscreen place just under $250.
